Responsible fabrics from start to end

When it comes to what your clothes are made from, we sweat the details so you don’t have to. Our collection is made with 75% organic or recycled materials, as well as biodegradable and natural alternatives.

Polyester that performs but doesn’t pollute

Polyester gives activewear its stretch and breathability, but it’s also one of the most environmentally-harmful fabrics to make (we’re talking fossil fuels and a lot of energy). That’s why we always use recycled polyester made from waste like fishing nets or plastic bottles that would otherwise end up in landfill or our oceans.

Transparent in all the right ways

The people who make our clothes are as important to our community as the people who wear them. We work with ethical factories in Italy, Portugal, China and Taiwan that let us run independent audits for labour welfare and sustainability. Every one of them pays a living wage, provides safe working conditions, gives workers the right to organise and minimises energy consumption and waste.

Get To Know Our Fabrics

We use five fabrics in our collection:

Recycled Polyester blended with Spandex

Recycled polyester blended with spandex is the core fabric in our collection. We chose it after working with our BlueSign® certified mill to prototype and test a range of eco yarns and weights.

Our Recycled Polyester is made from waste plastic PET bottles and has achieved industry-leading certifications that confirm it’s safe for people and the environment. It is:

Green Mark certified by the Environmental Protection Administration (Taiwan), which recognises fabrics that are recyclable, low-polluting and resource-saving.

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified by the Swiss Textile Testing Institute, which confirms it’s safe and free from any harmful substances.

Independently evaluated by Intertek and verified as recycled through the Green Leaf Certification Recycled Polyester (RPET) Management System.

Certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS).

ECONYL® Regenerated Nylon blended with Roica® Spandex

For ultimate flexibility and durability, our seamless range is made from a blend of ECONYL® Regenerated Nylon and Roica® Spandex.

ECONYL® Regenerated Nylon is one of the most sustainable synthetic fabrics in the world. It’s made using a four step system:
ROICA™ Ecosmart™ V550 Spandex is a world-first – a stretch yarn that, unlike regular spandex, is eco-friendly and completely circular as it degrades into water and CO2 at the end of its life (without releasing any harmful substances). It’s Cradle to Cradle Certified™ with a Material Health Gold Level Certificate.

REPREVE® Recycled Polyester blended with TENCEL™ Lyocell & Spandex

REPREVE® Recycled Polyester is a leading performance fabric made from recycled materials like plastic bottles that would otherwise end up in landfill or our oceans (so far the company that makes it has recycled over 25 billion plastic bottles!). As the polyester is made, properties like sweat-wicking and adaptive cooling are embedded at the fibre level, making it perfect for keeping you cool during workouts.

TENCEL™ Lyocell is a completely natural material that we use to make our tops super soft. The fibres are made from sustainably sourced wood pulp, using environmentally responsible processes, and are certified as biodegradable and compostable.

Recycled Polyester blended with TENCEL™ Modal & Lycra

This fabric is a one-of-a-kind yarn developed by a mill in China that has established its own GRS-certified brand of recycled polyester. The polyester is blended with TENCEL™ Modal, a natural material where fibres are extracted from naturally-grown beech wood (through an eco-friendly process). It’s twice as soft as cotton, making our pieces seriously comfortable.

The TENCEL™ Modal fibres are also biodegradable and compostable under industrial, home, soil and marine conditions, so will go right back to nature when your pieces reach the end of their long lives.

Organic Cotton blended with Elastane

We use organic cotton because, according to the High Materials Sustainability Index, it has half the environmental impact of conventional cotton. It’s grown using fewer toxic pesticides and more natural processes, making it better for people and the planet.
